Graphite Electrodes

Graphite Electrodes

Graphite electrodes carry the electricity that melts scrap iron and steel (and sometimes direct-reduced iron: DRI) in electric arc furnaces, the vast majority of steel furnaces. They are made from petroleum coke after it is mixed with coal tar pitch, extruded and shaped, then baked to carbonize the binder (pitch), and then graphitized by heating it to temperatures approaching 3000 °C that converts carbon to graphite. They can vary in size up to 150mm to 700mm diameter. in diameter. An increasing proportion of global steel is made using electric arc furnaces, and the electric arc furnace itself is getting more efficient and making more steel per ton of electrode

Electrode Wrench

Torque Wrench is used for tightening of Graphite Electrodes. We offer a positive torque indicator by means of an unmistakable signal. This wrench is available on a wide range of sizes of electrodes and also provides the user with many of the same benefits as stated above. We as the supplier of Torque Wrench are ready to serve our customers.

FEATURES

Unmistakable signal when set torque is reached.
Positive torque control increases energy efficiency.
Self-clamping action speeds the tightening operation.
A wide range of electrode sizes, 3 to 24 inches, can be tightened.
